EVENTS ORGANISED

  • Organized Fresher's Day Celebrations for first year B.Tech students on 4.10.11.
  • Organized orientation programme for first year B.Tech students on 24.8.2011.
  • Organized major programmes such as ICMOT-2010 & ANNIFEST 2K10 with the support of Management & all other departments.
  • Blood Donation Camp was organized on 25.03.2010 in the Campus in association with Palakol Voluntary Blood Bank—Palakol Charitable Trust. Management, Staff and 63 students have donated the blood in the Camp.
  • Orientation program for Management category students was organized on 24.07.09.
  • Orientation program for all I B.Tech students and their parents was organized on 14.09.09.
  • Freshers day for 1st year B.Tech students was arranged on 16.10.09. Dr. K.V.S.G.Murali Krishna and Shri P. Venkata Rami Reddy, DSP, Narasapur , Division were the Chief Guests.
  • Basic Sciences & Humanities Department organized a three day technical symposium on "Recent Trends in Mathematics applied in Engineering" during 6th to 8th May, 2007.

As a part of inculcating the interpersonal communication and language skills , special emphasis has been made by organizing Soft skills classes with the collaboration of Center For British Teaching, Hyderabad in addition to the regular curriculum for the first year B.Tech Students.
Additional Labs for Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry and English Lab were established as per the requirements of first year curriculum.

Science & Humanities

shDepartment of Basic Science & Humanities started functioning from the year 2001 consisting of qualified experienced faculty basic sciences to cater the needs of First Year Engineering classes as well some of the Senior Classes in Engineering. The department comprises sections of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, English and Management Sciences which meets the nexus of basic sciences and core engineering domains. The department has well equipped laboratories to impart practical training to the students in the field of Physics, Chemistry, Computer Programming, Engineering Drawing and Advanced English & Communication Skills.
ABOUT US:
Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities is a Supporting department to all Engineering branches, MBA and MCA departments. Here the students are exposed to Basic Sciences like Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in addition to English and Environmental Science.
Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities has well stack of faculty with rich experience and expertise in their select domains. Of them, two are Ph.D's, eight are M. Phils and five are pursuing their Ph.D's.
OBJECTIVES:
¨ To be an academic unit devoted to the dissemination of knowledge, from an interdisciplinary perspective, to empower the students of Engineering and Management.
¨ Contribute to the all-round development of the students by providing them extensive counseling & guidance in terms of education and career oriented problems.
¨ Enhance the employability of the students by providing training in Communication Skills, Soft Skills and Personality Development.
¨ Provide opportunities to prepare for GRE, TOEFL and IELTS by encouraging them to utilize the state-of-the-art English Communication Skills Laboratory.
¨ This Department consists of various disciplines like English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Environmental Science.
