Department Of Information Technology

The Department of Information Technology was established in the academic year 2001-02 with the approval of AICTE with an intake of 60. It has well equipped labs Namely 1. Programming Lab 2. DBMS Lab 3. UNIX Lab 4. UML Lab 5. Dot.Net Lab 6. Embedded Systems Lab 7. Multimedia Lab and 8.Web Designing Lab.

Prof. P. Naga Srinivas with rich teaching experience is heading the department. He leads a team of 13 staff members of which there are 1 Ph.D, 8 are Post Graduates and rest are Under Graduates.

OBJECTIVE :

To establish the globalization values, locally by training the rural/urban students.

Developing the skills of the students to meet the global competitiveness in recent technologies like embedded systems, Data mining & Data warehousing, ERP, Open source etc.

Imparting the practical skills in software developments.

To provide with ethical and social values for better career options and sustenance in the upcoming technologies.

Developing the skills of the students to meet the industrial needs on recent technologies.

CURRICULUM :

The college follows the regulations and syllabi of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada.
