The B.Tech program in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science was established in 2022 at Swarnandhra College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous) with an intake of 60 students, aiming to provide quality education in this rapidly emerging field.

The department is supported by a team of committed, dedicated, and well-qualified faculty members who are actively engaged in professional development and holistic student training. Most faculty members are currently pursuing their Ph.D. in advanced areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, and Data Mining.

The department is equipped with modern laboratories featuring cutting-edge hardware and software tools. It also boasts state-of-the-art infrastructure and computing facilities, supported by high-speed Ethernet and wireless networks to meet contemporary computing needs.

To enhance learning and industry exposure, various academic and co-curricular activities are conducted in collaboration with professional bodies, including the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society Student Chapter. Students are strongly encouraged to participate in prestigious hackathons and embrace a project-based learning approach to remain aligned with current industry trends and technological innovations.
