The interactive session motivated students to set clear career goals and prepare themselves to meet industry standards. Students actively participated by asking questions and gained practical knowledge about corporate culture and professional development. Overall, the workshop was highly informative and inspiring, helping students bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.    2025-12-29 | : B.Tech - AIML | : AIML (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) and AIDS (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) students took part in the AIGNITE National-Level Hackathon organized at Srinivasa Institute of Engineering and Technology. The hackathon allowed students to apply their technical knowledge and problem-solving skills in a real-time competition. Among participants, our students T. Information Technology (IT) is the branch of engineering dealing with the use of computers and telecommunications, developing and maintaining systems as well as retrieving, storing and transmitting information. The branch is responsible for the efficient operation of IT and IT enabled services infrastructure; leading the corporation in the use of Information Technology as a strategic asset.
        The department of Information Technology was established during the year 2001, recognized by AICTE, New Delhi. The department offers four year full time B.Tech degree course with an intake of 60.
       Our B.Tech (IT) program provides graduates with the skills and knowledge to take on appropriate professional positions upon graduation. It also assists the graduates to attain leadership positions and successfully pursue post graduate studies and research in the field. Different core areas of Information Technology that are covered by our curriculum include programming, networking, web systems, information management, human computer interaction and neural networks. The program is designed in such a way that the graduate develops a practical understanding of the technologies and acquires expertise for a successful career.
      The vibrant faculty members of the department acquire demonstrated expertise in many areas of information technology and flair for teaching different courses. The department consists of a medley of 12 faculty members with industrial and academic experience headed by Dr.R.V.V.S.V.Prasad. Besides, the faculty members possess essential attributes of being a good mentor to students.

 Research & Consultancy

            Research in the department focuses on creating and evaluating innovative learning experiences, inspired by educational principles and technical progress. The key areas of research of the faculty members include semantic web, data mining, software reliability, wireless sensor networks, network security, big data analytics, Internet of Things and cloud computing. Students are motivated to pursue multi-disciplinary research projects on long term basis jointly with other department students.
