No: 23A21A61C) from Swarnandhra College of Engineering and Technology, Andhra Pradesh, have secured 2nd Prize in the 9th Edition of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Chennai Local Network “Smart City Challenge 2025” organized in collaboration with Nokia Solutions and Networks Pvt. Ltd.. Their technical innovation, teamwork and vision stood out in this competitive regional challenge, and they were awarded a prize of ₹15,000.

Title: Ganesh Chaturthi The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning organized a special event to promote environmentally conscious celebrations during Ganesh Chaturthi. As part of this initiative, eco-friendly clay Ganesh idols were distributed to students, faculty, and local residents. The aim was to encourage the community to adopt sustainable practices by choosing idols made from natural clay instead of harmful chemical materials.

Title: The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML), in association with the Institution Innovation Council (IIC), is organising a session on “Empowering the Future: Cloud Foundations and Agentic AI for Tomorrow’s Workforce.” The resource person is Mr. Phani Ravindra Kaligotla, Director of AI & Data Strategy at Mastercard, London, UK. He is also a proud alumnus of Swarnandhra College of Engineering & Technology, from the 2007–2011 batch of the ECE Department. The event is being organised by Mr. R.V. Manikanta, Assistant Professor, Department of AIML.

Title: The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) of Swarnandhra College of Engineering and Technology organized a Two-Day Online Bootcamp (21-08-2025 & 22-08-2025) on Amaravati Quantum Valley Hackathon – 2025 under the guidance of APSCHE. The session aimed to encourage students to participate in the upcoming hackathon. Gowtham Alumni Indraraj Choudhary and industry experts addressed the students, emphasizing the significance of innovation and project development. Center Head Dr. Chandramouli motivated students to actively take part in the event. A total of 30 teams from the college were shortlisted for this program. Students were inspired to develop their own projects, with the best two projects qualifying for the state-level semi-finals. The event was successfully coordinated by Dr. Bomma Rama Krishna, HOD, AIML Department. Chairman K.V. Satyanarayana, Treasurer K.V. Swamy, Director Sri Hari, Principal Dr. N. Suresh Kumar, Vice-Principal Dr. A. Gopi Chand, HODs, faculty members, and students actively participated and supported the event.

Rama Krishna, M.Tech, Ph.D Professor & Head, Department of AIML Swarnandhra College of Engineering and Technology The Department of BCA organized a Guest Lecture on "Data Structures through C" on 26th June 2025. The session was delivered by Dr. B. Rama Krishna, Head of the Department of AIML, Swarnandhra College of Engineering and Technology. The guest lecture aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of core data structures such as arrays, linked lists, stacks, and queues. Dr. B. Rama Krishna sir explained the concepts using practical examples and live coding demonstrations. His dynamic and interactive approach kept the students engaged and encouraged active participation. The session proved to be highly informative, bridging theoretical knowledge with practical implementation, and enhancing the students’ learning experience.

Abdul Kalam emphasized the importance of AI in shaping India’s future during a seminar. College Chairman V. Satyanarayana announced new courses in AI, ML, and Data Science. Faculty and students actively participated to enhance innovation and research. A 7-Day Hybrid Mode Workshop on Mobile App Development (18th–23rd February 2025) was also conducted successfully.
