Head of Department Message from the HOD
Dr. RVVSV. Prasad was awarded his Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering at Acharya Nagarjuna University for the thesis titled “An Effective Computation of Reputation of a Recommender System”, under the supervision of Dr. V. Valli Kumari, Professor, Dept. of Computer Science and Systems Engineering, College of Engineering (A), Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.
He received his Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada. He is working as a Professor and Head in the Department of Information Technology, Swarnandhra College of Engineering & Technology, Seetharampuram, Narsapur. His research interests include machine learning, big data analytics, recommender systems, P2P networks, security, privacy, and trust in mobile agents.
He has guided 1 scholar to Ph.D completion and has over 14 papers published in reputed journals and conferences. He has conducted FDPs, workshops, and mega student events including annual day and freshers’ day events in the capacity of Convener and Coordinator.
He served various academic assignments including as Officer-in-Charge, Examination Section, BIET Bhimavaram; as Co-ordinator, Jawahar Knowledge Center (JKC), BIET; as Member, Internal Quality Assessment Cell (IQAC); and as faculty in-charge for JNTU online examinations at Swarnandhra College of Engineering & Technology, Narsapur.
